Warsash Wasps Sports and Football Club (Wasps) was established in 1977 with the goal of offering local children the opportunity to fully develop their football skills. This season, the club boasts 30 teams, with players ranging from mini to youth levels. Our lineup includes 5 girls’ teams and 25 boys’ teams, competing in 6 different leagues across Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, our highly popular Saturday Morning Development Squad attracts over 60 children from Year R, Year 1, and Year 2.
With nearly 400 players and more than 75 volunteers, Warsash Wasps is proud to be one of the largest community football clubs in Hampshire.

On Saturday 5th September, we’ll come together to celebrate the life of David Graham.
This isn’t just a football match. It’s a day to remember a great friend, honour his legacy, share stories, raise a glass, and bring together everything David loved most – football, family, friends, and the Wasps community.
The action on the pitch will see a Wasps vs Wasps showdown (team news coming soon 👀), but the day is about so much more than the result.

Chairman Steps Down After 16 Years of Service
We wish to inform members that, with immediate effect, our Chairman, Mike Ashley,
has stepped down from his duties as Chairman and as a member of the committee for
personal reasons.
Mike will remain one of the Club’s Trustees and will continue to support Warsash
Wasps, albeit in a much reduced capacity, offering guidance and assistance as and
when required.
In accordance with our club constitution the committee have
appointed our current Vice-Chairman, Simon Gray, as Acting Chairman with immediate
effect.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Mike for his
sixteen years of dedicated service as Chairman. Mike has provided strong leadership
and stability, guiding the club through many significant moments in its history.
During his tenure, Mike oversaw some of the club’s most important developments,
including the construction and introduction of the Weatherproof Wasps 3G surface, the
new changing and committee room building, navigating the challenges of COVID, the
badger issue, and many other hurdles faced along the way.
His commitment, leadership and passion for the club have played a huge role in
shaping the strong and resilient organisation we are today, and we are extremely grateful
for everything he has done for Warsash Wasps.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support during this interim period
leading up to the AGM on 31st May, where the committee for the upcoming season will
be formally ratified by the voting members in attendance.

F.A. Charter Standard Club The club has always tried to move forward, embracing the concept of developing UEFA Coaching Courses amongst its Coaches and Managers. The club now has a large number of highly qualified coaches, something it is always seeking to expand. Warsash Wasps has worked very hard to become one of the very few Clubs at the top Development Club level.
